This group mainly consists of business owners and other legally-minded people who want to inform themselves about rights and processes of private businesses to operate. Exploring avenues of law meant to protect us, while working alongside employers and employees to combat the global trends in the workforce.
This group focuses on regional strategies, communication, and co-operation among Lakeland residents, to ensure food security, emergency response readiness, and a population that is educated in how to live well with what is available to us locally.
We place high value on the family unit, and the right of parents to approve and be informed of all matters concerning the formal education of their children. This group protects parents, protects children, and even the school systems themselves, from global and government over-reach.
While we are grateful for the privilege of provincial, government-funded health care, we do not assume it will be available - at least not to all residents. This group is proactively promoting alternative sources of medicine and health care for our community.
This group focuses mainly on communication: both promoting the events and projects of LUR, and promoting other sources of information which will equip and engage our community for "regional" thinking.
This is the most directly-political group. They will arrange petitions, rallies, and letters to government (at every level) to preserve liberty and protect our ability to coexist together freely as a community.
